• To pass along to current members of the club should you complete the New Members Application, and be accepted to the club by a vote of our members.

• If you indicated that you were interested in participating in the Barrie Kinsmen projects as a volunteer.

• If you enter a contest or other promotion offered on a The Barrie Kinsmen , we may, under the rules of the promotion, use your name and certain other information to administer the promotion, such as contacting, announcing and promoting the winners of the promotion; or

• For screening purposes of new member applicants. "Personal Information" is collected via our New Members Application. This application is used to screen new members before they are voted in by the club at large. The Barrie Kinsmen have a Membership Committee consisting of 3 members, Our immediate Past President, Vice President, and Risk Management Director. It is the duty of the Membership committee to review all New Members Applications and give advice to the general membership of the club as to the New Members Applicant's suitability for membership in The Barrie Kinsmen.

• The Barrie Kinsmen may also use Personal Information if it has reasonable grounds to believe the information could be useful when investigating a contravention of a federal, provincial or foreign law or in order to protect or defend a legal interest

• Where you have specifically given us your consent to disclose your Personal Information for a designated purpose;

• Who are acting on our behalf as our agents, suppliers or service providers. Such entities act under strict contractual controls, requiring them to maintain the confidentiality of all such Personal Information and to use such information solely for purposes related to the provision of The Barrie Kinsmen projects;

All New Members Applications containing "Personal Information" will be held and stored by our Risk Management Director. Such information will be kept in the club house under lock and key. Any "Personal Information" stored on the Barrie Kinsmen website will be protect in it's own file structure with a user name and password and will be made accessible to only current members of the Barrie Kinsmen.

New Members Applications containing "Personal Information" will be destroyed by shredding. The Risk Management Director shall have the sole responsibility to destroy New Members Applications. Destruction of New Members Applications will be witnessed by the remaining members of the Membership committee .
